TWENTY DAYS: Preparing to Say "Action!"

With Timeless on the horizon, the journey has been worth pursuing through many obstacles, proving with passion and strength, anything can happen.

    Timeless has been nothing but a constant perseverance for the directors and producers as all the elements have to come together for it to work and run smoothly. The countdown has been going strong on the Instagram page @timelesstheshortfilm, starting at 15 weeks and 100 days, and now is at a little over 2 weeks and 20 days. 

    Throughout these months, a lot has happened. So much so, that these blogs have not been written in a while because priorities have been had. In the past four months since our promo photos were released, the Timeless team has focused on securing locations, securing final positions/roles, and ensuring the budget is set for groceries, catering, gear, and other fun things!

    Director Emma Sumlin and co-director Jonathan Collins have been constantly in contact discussing what needs to be done, and an air of excitement has grown even more thinking that all the hard work that has been put in for the past nine months is finally coming to a head. Of course, nerves are normal, but their trust in God has truly been what has made nerves not turn into anxiety.

    Speaking of the Lord, God has done SO MUCH for Timeless, to name a few, he has provided the fund to be finished, and not only that, but the donations went over the desired amount. One donor gave 3000 dollars to complete the fund and there is no denying it was a miracle and the team would not be able to afford the necessities if it was not for God's provision. The biggest thanks are owed to this donor, and the rest of the donors who made it happen:

    Together, these people gave a total of $5,000; because of them, Timeless will come to fruition. Truly God uses people for great things.

    As well, the team has been having difficulty securing a gaffer. Lighting makes or breaks a film. Therefore, they reached out through social media and friends and asked for prayer in finding one. Four weeks out at the time, it was a source of great stress. However, they knew God wanted their trust, and in the way that he always does, three gaffers were found, divided up among the eight days. God is good, and there is much rejoicing! Tanner Lucas, Kyle Boessler, and Rewd Robinson--welcome to the Timeless team!

    A week ago, director Emma Sumlin visited actress Grace Adams to try on all the costumes and it is fair to say they all fit and looked STUNNING on her. She will shine as Marjorie! 

    Though there is not much to say, other than these things, it is important to add that the only remaining tasks are to make a grocery run, to rent gear, and to pick up the camera! Just know, hard work is happening, and anticipation has almost reached its climax! Springtown, TX, here they come!
